Placement and use
Use bee balm as a repeated vertical accent in broad borders, pollinator plantings, or sunny herb beds rather than tucking it into a narrow edge. Set it behind low strawberries or at the side of tomatoes, squash, or cabbage where its height will not shade smaller neighbors. Leave a reachable edge along a path or mowing strip, especially when planting several together, so the clump can be observed and maintained without stepping into the bed.
