Placement and use
Place Caladium in a sheltered, partially shaded position where its patterned leaves can brighten a border, accent planting, or container display. Keep it close enough to a path, porch, or seating area for the leaf color to read as part of the garden’s detail, but avoid pinching it into narrow gaps between hardscape and larger perennials. In a mixed bed, use it as a repeating foreground or mid-front block, leaving taller plants behind it so their stems and foliage do not crowd its leaf display.[1]
