Placement and use
Place calendula along the front or middle of sunny borders, at the edge of a vegetable bed, or in blocks beside a path where faded flowers can be reached easily. A repeated drift gives its low, rounded habit more visual weight than scattered single plants. Keep it in front of taller annuals, vegetables, or perennials so the planting remains legible as it fills out. Leave a clear route for routine deadheading rather than burying plants behind a dense foreground edge.
