Placement and use
Place Carolina Silverbell at a woodland edge, in a shade garden, or as a specimen set back from the main path. Its open, irregular form suits a layered planting better than a tight, formal row. Allow a clear approach from one side for watering and occasional inspection, and keep the canopy away from low roofs, overhead lines, and narrow passages. A sheltered position helps protect the tree’s relatively soft wood from strong wind.[1][2]
