Placement and use
Place creeping thyme in sunny joints between stepping stones, along the outside edge of a path, or around rocks and low retaining edges. Its creeping stems suit narrow, shallow planting zones where taller plants would spill into circulation space. It can handle moderate foot traffic, so reserve it for occasional crossings and the spaces beside a primary walking line rather than the most heavily traveled route. Keep the planting strip wide enough for the mat to spread without climbing onto the path surface.[1][2]
