Placement and use
Give Bignonia capreolata a sturdy, tall support with open room above it; an arbor, fence, pillar, wall, or large trellis suits its climbing habit. Keep the planting at the edge of a bed or beside a path rather than deep within mixed planting, so the base remains reachable and the vine has a clear route upward. Reserve it for locations where a tall, fast-covering vine will not obscure smaller plantings or swallow a lightweight support.[1][2]
