Placement and use
Use Eastern Redbud as a specimen near the edge of a lawn, at a woodland transition, or as a small group in a naturalized border. Keep it out of narrow foundation strips and tight corners: the canopy needs room to develop on more than one side. Position the tree where its early flowers can stand against a darker evergreen backdrop or the trunks of taller trees, while leaving a clear approach for pruning and cleanup.[1][2]
