Placement and use
Use Echeveria at the exposed, sun-facing edge of a dry bed, beside paving that sheds water away, or as a focal plant in a low container. Rock gardens, sandy pockets, and containers suit its compact rosette form and make drainage easier to control. Keep it clear of spreading plants that would cover the rosettes or direct regular irrigation into them; a little open soil around each plant also makes dead-leaf cleanup simple.[1][2][3]
