Placement and use
Give Fraser Fir an open position where its full height will not crowd a roofline, overhead wires, or a neighboring canopy. Use it as a specimen set back from the house, at the outer edge of a broad lawn, or as a tall anchor beyond lower planting beds. Keep nearby paths and sitting areas outside the eventual branch zone so the tree can retain its natural pyramidal outline without repeated clearance pruning. Choose a cool site with protection from stressful heat and avoid exposed, heavily urban locations.[1][2]
