Placement and use
Use gomphrena in full-sun borders where a low, rounded drift can soften the edge of taller annuals or perennials behind it. Its upright flower stems and papery heads make it useful near a cutting area; place the group within easy reach of a path so stems can be gathered without stepping into the bed. It also works in small spaces, containers, and hot border sections where a dense, bushy annual is wanted.[1][2]
