Placement and use
Give honeysuckle a permanent climbing structure from the outset: a fence, trellis, pergola post, or other sturdy framework with enough height for a 15-foot vine. Place it where the developing canopy can rise away from gates, narrow paths, windows, and roof edges instead of spilling into circulation space. Set the planting position close enough to train new stems onto the support, while leaving a reachable edge for tying in shoots and cutting back growth.
