Placement and use
Place horehound in the open, sunniest portion of a dry herb bed, gravel garden, bank, or border edge where drainage is dependable. Keep it away from plants that need frequent watering, so one irrigation routine does not work against the other. Its 2-foot height makes it useful behind short herbs and groundcovers, or along the back half of a narrow bed reached from a path. Leave a clear approach for summer harvesting and for tidying flowering stems.[1][2]
