Placement and use
Give Kwanza Cherry a prominent open position near a patio, along a broad street verge, or at the end of a long bed where the spring canopy can be seen from several viewpoints. Keep the trunk out of tight foundation beds and away from narrow walks; the tree needs a clear approach for pruning and for tending the planting beneath it. Its upright young form can frame an entry or path, while the mature crown needs room to spread outward.
