Placement and use
Place lemon thyme along the outside edge of an herb bed, beside a rock garden, or in pockets near paving where its compact form can soften a hard boundary. Keep it close enough to a path or patio for easy picking from late spring into early fall, but avoid making it the only walking surface. It can share a productive bed with cabbage, broccoli, tomatoes, eggplant, or strawberries while staying at the front where taller crops will not shade it.
