Placement and use
Place lemongrass toward the back or outer edge of a sunny herb or vegetable bed, where its height will not shade shorter plants. It can also mark a broad path, fence line, or bed corner, provided there is room to reach the base for harvest. In mixed food gardens, it may be planted near tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, or squash; keep each plant’s own allotted space clear rather than letting the clump merge into neighboring crops.
