Placement and use
Use Mimosa Tree as a freestanding lawn or patio accent where its low, spreading form has room to read as one canopy. Keep it well back from roofs, parked vehicles, play areas, and heavily used paths, leaving clear access around the trunk for seasonal cleanup. Avoid squeezing it between buildings or beneath utility lines. Its weak-wooded branches and dropped flowers, leaves, and pods make an open, easy-to-maintain setting more workable than a narrow courtyard or entry planting.[1][2]
