Placement and use
Give peppermint its own container or a clearly bounded section of the garden rather than tucking it among slower, permanent herbs. A pot set beside a path, outdoor table, or kitchen-door landing keeps the harvest close and prevents the planting from overtaking neighboring root space. In vegetable beds, reserve a separate contained position near cabbage, broccoli, tomatoes, peas, or lettuce; keep it apart from curly-leaf and flat-leaf parsley.
