Placement and use
Give Solanum laxum a sturdy vertical support from the start. Its twining, woody growth can be trained along a trellis, fence, arbor, or sheltered wall; tie new growth in regularly so it covers the intended plane rather than spilling into a path or adjacent planting. A sunny wall-side border or the back of a deep bed lets the vine rise above lower plants without taking over their growing space.[1][2]
