Placement and use
Give this tree a prominent, sheltered position where its branching form and early flowers can be seen from windows, paths, or a seating area. Use it as a single specimen rather than crowding it into a mixed border; its canopy and low, spreading character need visual and physical breathing room. Keep the planting area clear of overhead constraints, and allow a path or lawn margin nearby so the trunk and lower branches remain accessible as the tree matures.[1][2]
