Placement and use
Give shrub rosemary a warm, open position beside a path, patio, wall-side bed, or the sunny edge of a kitchen garden so harvesting does not require reaching through neighboring plants. Its upright habit suits a repeating hedge or a few deliberate structural plants in a dry border. Keep brassicas, carrots, beans, and sage in adjacent planting zones only where their own spacing and seasonal turnover leave the rosemary’s permanent root area undisturbed.
