Placement and use
Place vinca along bed fronts, beside sunny walks, or in open drifts where its roughly 15-inch height will remain below mid-border plants. A mass reads best when the planting can extend at least several plants deep; use a single row only where the bed edge is narrow. It also works in containers, where its compact footprint can soften the rim without blocking views or crowding taller center plants. Keep its root zone out of spots that receive routine heavy irrigation from nearby lawn or bedding plants.[1]
