Placement and use
Give this tree an open position at the outer edge of an orchard, large lawn, or native planting, where its mature canopy will not overhang a patio, walk, drive, or roofline. Keep the area beneath and around it easy to mow or mulch, with a clear route for collecting fallen fruit. Plant male and female trees where fruit is wanted, and reserve enough space for each tree to develop without crowding nearby canopy trees.[1][2]
