Placement and use
Use areca palm at the back of a deep bed, beside a patio with overhead clearance, or in a broad corner where its canopy can soften a wall without crowding circulation. In frost-free landscapes, it can be arranged as a loose screen or grouped specimen. For indoor use, place it near bright, indirect light and allow room to approach the container for watering and periodic repotting; keep the foliage clear of busy passageways.[1][2][3]
