Placement and use
Place arugula along the reachable side of a vegetable bed, a raised-bed edge, or a shallow salad container rather than behind long-lived crops. Its low, leafy form can occupy the front of a mixed edible planting without blocking access to taller plants behind it. It can be included near lettuce, beans, carrots, cucumbers, onions, radishes, spinach, and beets; give the strawberry planting a separate section of the plan.
