Placement and use
Set Autumn Joy where its upright stems can rise above low edging plants without blocking a path or overtaking a narrow border. It works especially well as a repeated accent through a sunny dry border, or as a small group near a patio, foundation, rock garden, or walkway. Keep it within view from late summer onward, when the flower heads become a major feature and draw pollinators. Its low water needs make it a sensible fit beside other plants chosen for lean, well-drained conditions.[1][2]
