Placement and use
Give Persea americana a full-sun position with clear overhead space and room for the canopy to develop without pressing into buildings, utility lines, or neighboring trees. Set it toward the outer portion of a large yard or orchard-style planting, where its shade will not overtake smaller sun-loving beds. Keep a practical route from a path, patio, or service area so pruning, watering, and harvest remain manageable as the tree matures.[1][2]
