Placement and use
Use Bigleaf Hydrangea to anchor the shaded side of a foundation bed, frame a patio edge, or repeat as a loose flowering screen behind lower plants. Give it a position with open air around the canopy rather than pressing it tightly between a wall and a path. Its broad summer display reads best from a seating area, entry walk, or other place where the blooms can be viewed at close range.[1][2]
