Placement and use
Place Blazing Star in the middle or back of a bed, where its tall stems can rise behind lower plants without blocking path views. Repeat it in small drifts to make a vertical rhythm through a meadow-style or perennial border, rather than scattering single plants across a wide area. Keep the clump close enough to a path or bed edge for seasonal cutting back and, if needed, discreet support. Taller stems can sometimes lean or flop, particularly where they are exposed.[1][2]
