Placement and use
Place carrots in an open part of the bed where taller crops and structures will not cut into full sun. A narrow block or repeated short rows makes thinning, watering, and harvest easier than scattering plants through the border. Reserve adjacent space for onions, chives, leeks, lettuce, tomatoes, rosemary, or sugar snap peas when those crops are part of the plan; keep dill and fennel in a separate area.
