Placement and use
Place celery in full sun in a bed close to a hose, drip line, or other dependable irrigation point. A block or short double row keeps the plants easy to water and harvest without stepping into the growing area. Keep it on the lower side of taller crops so they do not cast shade across the bed; it can share a vegetable plan with beans, cabbage, cauliflower, onions, leeks, spinach, or tomatoes when each crop retains its own working space.[1][2]
