Placement and use
Place Coreopsis in the front half of a sunny mixed border, along an open bed edge, or in a broad drift where its fine-textured foliage can soften more substantial neighboring forms. Its 2-foot height suits the space in front of taller perennials and shrubs, while its bushy clumps can repeat along a path without creating a rigid hedge. Keep the planting visible from a path or seating area so spent flower stems remain easy to reach if you choose to deadhead them.[1]
