Placement and use
Use Colocasia esculenta beside consistently moist planting zones, at the sheltered edge of a lightly shaded border, or as a focal clump in a large container. Keep it back from tight walkways: the foliage needs room to project into the bed without brushing passersby. A location protected from strong wind helps preserve the display, while its scale makes it useful for screening the base of a fence, wall, or larger shrub border during the growing season.[1][2]
