Placement and use
Set this palm where its rounded clump can be seen from more than one direction: at a bed corner, beside a terrace, or as a single anchor within a large gravel or drought-tolerant planting. It can also form a repeated screen or barrier when the planting has enough depth. Keep the clump outside the main line of travel rather than letting foliage project into a narrow walk; the leaf stalks carry sharp spines.[1][2]
