Placement and use
Set firebush at the rear of an island bed, along a broad foundation bed, or as part of a loose screening line where an upright shrub will not block circulation or windows. A single plant can anchor a mixed border; repeated plants can create a flowering mass with a more continuous presence. Keep the planting line back from narrow walks so its mature branches do not press into the route. It can also be kept to a chosen height with pruning, though repeated hard pruning can reduce flowering.[1]
