Placement and use
Give kale a dedicated strip in a sunny vegetable bed, placing it where the broad leaf canopy will not spill across a narrow path or crowd shorter crops. Site it along the accessible edge of a bed if you expect to pick outer leaves regularly; this keeps harvest traffic out of neighboring planting areas. Onions, garlic, dill, chamomile, and lettuce can share the plan nearby. Keep kale separate from strawberries, tomatoes, and fennel.
