Rosa 'Radrazz'
Knock Out Rose is a reblooming shrub rose that forms a rounded presence about 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide. Its long flowering season, from late spring into fall, makes it useful where a bed needs a steady middle-height anchor rather than a brief seasonal display. Use Rosa 'Radrazz' in planting plans for informal hedges, foundation runs, or repeated groups with enough open space around each plant.

The mature spread is about 4 ft (1.2 m), so neighboring plants just meet at maturity without crowding.
Treat 4 ft as a planning baseline — cultivar and local growing conditions shift the final footprint.
Place it in a sunny border or foundation bed where its full, shrub-sized outline can remain visible rather than being crowded between taller woody plants. A row can create a low flowering boundary, while groups of three or more give a broader mass along a driveway, fence, or open lawn edge. Keep the planting far enough from tight corners and narrow routes that there is room to reach the plant for routine work and maintain good air flow.
Set plants 4 feet apart, center to center, matching their expected 4-foot mature width. At that distance, a hedge will read as a continuous rhythm as plants fill out without forcing immediate overlap. For a foundation or mixed border, preserve a clear working strip in front of the shrubs and avoid placing them where their mature spread will project into a path, gate swing, or service area.
Reserve a full-sun position for the strongest flowering display and disease resistance. Plant in moist, well-drained soil, then water deeply and regularly rather than relying on frequent light sprinkling. Direct irrigation toward the root zone where possible, and leave the foliage with open exposure to dry after rain or watering. A mulched root area helps hold moisture and keeps the planting zone visually tidy.[1][2]
Flowers continue from late spring through fall, so allow this shrub to hold its place in the design for most of the growing season. Remove spent flowers when a tidier look or quicker rebloom is wanted. Plan access for late-winter to early-spring pruning, using that work to keep the shrub within its allotted footprint instead of letting it press into neighboring plants or circulation space.[1][2]
The stems are prickly, so avoid using Knock Out Rose flush against a narrow walkway, play area, or regularly used entry route. In a bed beside a path, set the planting back enough that its outer growth can be managed without brushing passersby. Its disease resistance reduces, but does not eliminate, the value of good air circulation and seasonal cleanup.[1][2]
