Placement and use
Set a kumquat where its canopy will not overhang a narrow walk or crowd doors, gates, and outdoor seating. A position beside a broad path works well: it keeps the fruiting branches accessible while giving the tree enough visual space to read as a small, evergreen focal point. It can also be grown in a large container, making it useful on sunny patios or in gardens where winter protection or a movable planting is part of the plan.[1][2]
