Placement and use
Give Kuri squash the outside edge of a large vegetable bed, aiming the vines into a dedicated open lane, mulch strip, or adjacent planting area. Keep the crown accessible from a path for watering, training vines, and harvesting, while letting the vine run away from traffic. It can share the plan with sweet corn, beans, peas, borage, or radishes; keep potatoes in a separate part of the garden. Leave its summer flowers visible to pollinating insects rather than burying the plant behind taller crops.
