Placement and use
Give a lemon tree an open, full-sun site in USDA Zones 9 through 11, preferably where it can stand apart from buildings, fences, and neighboring tree canopies. Keep the main canopy out of narrow side yards and away from doors, patios, and paths that need clear overhead circulation. In colder settings, use a movable container arrangement or reserve a protected growing space that can be kept frost-free through winter.[1][2]
