Placement and use
Use Lenten rose as a front-to-middle layer in a partially shaded bed, allowing taller shrubs or woodland-edge planting behind it. A run beside a patio, entry path, or frequently used walkway gives its early flowers a visible role when much of the garden is quiet. Keep the planting outside the path’s clear walking line, but close enough to view the nodding blooms without stepping into the bed. Its evergreen foliage helps the space retain definition after flowering.[1][2]
