Placement and use
Place Doronicum orientale near the front or middle of a part-shade border, along a woodland-edge bed, or beside a path that benefits from early-season color. Keep it within reach for cleanup after flowering, rather than marooned behind taller summer plantings. A lightly sheltered position with moist, well-drained soil suits its clumping habit and helps the spring display read as an intentional group.[1]
