Placement and use
Place Ligularia where soil stays reliably moist: along a pond edge, beside a stream or boggy swale, or in a shaded bed that receives regular irrigation. A north-side foundation bed or dappled woodland edge can work when the root zone does not dry out. Set it back from narrow paths and bed corners so the foliage does not crowd circulation, and favor a sheltered position away from drying wind.[1][2]
