Placement and use
Place lingonberry where its low canopy can spread without being crossed or regularly disturbed: along the sunny face of a bed, beside a path with the planting set back from the tread, or in a broad, accessible berry border. It spreads by underground stems over time, so reserve a continuous planting zone rather than inserting isolated plants among aggressively maintained perennials. Keep an open edge or path alongside the bed for weeding and berry picking without stepping into the plants.[1][2]
