Spacing is center to center — measure between planting holes, not between the edges of the plants. Mature size and hardiness ranges are catalog values and shift with cultivar and local conditions.
How to use this chart
Bramble fruits do not stay where you plant them. Boysenberries, marionberries, raspberries, and blackberries all send up new canes from the crown or from running roots, so the in-row figure is really a decision about how wide a fruiting hedge you want and how much annual removal you are willing to do to hold that width.
Several of these need a second variety to crop well — most blueberries and many currants and gooseberries fruit far better with a compatible partner nearby. Keep pollination partners in the same block rather than at opposite ends of the garden.
