Placement and use
Give loquat an open, sunny position where a broad crown will not press into a roofline, fence, utility run, or neighboring tree. It works best as a single anchor near the outer portion of a lawn, large border, or productive garden, with lower plantings kept beyond its future canopy edge. Avoid narrow side yards and tight patio corners. Reserve a reachable perimeter on at least one side for pruning, irrigation, and harvest access without stepping through surrounding beds.
