Placement and use
Place Cornus sericea where consistently moist ground and full sun suit the larger shrub layer, especially in low areas, rain gardens, or along the outer edge of a pondside or drainage planting. Use it in a mass where its spreading, multi-stemmed habit can read as intentional rather than crowded. Keep it behind shorter perennials and away from narrow walks, gates, and tight foundation beds so stems and future spread do not restrict circulation.[1][2]
