Placement and use
Give star fruit an open, sunny position away from buildings, overhead lines, and the crowded interior of mixed borders. Its rounded, multi-branched canopy is best allowed to occupy its own clear zone, with a path or open ground along one side for pruning and harvest access. A lightly pruned tree can be held near 12 feet by 12 feet, which is useful beside patios or in smaller gardens, but reserve enough surrounding space for ongoing canopy management.[1]
