Placement and use
Set Sugar Snap Pea along a fence, trellis, or other firmly anchored vertical support, ideally at the edge of a bed where both sides of the vines remain easy to reach. Install the support before planting so the climbing row has a defined boundary from the start. Keep the 5-foot screen away from short, sun-dependent crops that would be difficult to tend behind it. Carrots, sweet corn, cucumbers, radishes, lettuce, and cabbage can share the broader vegetable plan; keep the row separate from onions, garlic, chives, and bunching onions.
