Placement and use
Set the vine along a sturdy trellis, fence line, or arbor at the edge of the food garden, not in the middle of a mixed bed. An arbor can place fruit overhead and create shade, while a simple wire trellis keeps the canopy in a defined plane beside a path. Leave working room on both sides for tying shoots, pruning, and harvesting; good air circulation is part of the site requirement.[1][2]
