Placement and use
Set turmeric behind shorter vegetables or along the back half of a bed, with a path or open bed edge close enough for watering and fall digging. Partial shade makes it useful at the bright edge of taller plantings or beside a structure that filters intense afternoon sun. Its upright foliage can occupy a visible spot through summer, but avoid placing it where the bed must be cleared early for a quick follow-on crop.[1][2]
